I had an old Lee Challenger press that broke. The linkage failed. I have wasted a ton of time dealing with Lee and their supposed warranty. The following is my opinion of their warranty: it sounds fair and decent on paper, but the reality is more like you don't have a warranty at all. They say oh we'll give you half price on another one, and all you have to do is pay the shipping. Sounds reasonable. But you get half off their very, very high MSRP. Then, in my opinion, they charge you way more money for shipping than what other companies would charge you to ship the same item. My experience was that I was better off buying my replacement part somewhere else rather than from Lee (using their warranty). They have wasted a ton of my time. I realize that no manufacturer is perfect, but to me, they are almost worse than if they offered no warranty at all. I am giving you the tiniest sliver of my entire experience. I have bought many Lee products over the years. My experience has been hit and miss. On paper, you get a lot for your money, if everything worked, but I have had several factory crimp dies over the years that I feel have worked fair at best, and several factory crimp dies that I don't know if they were doing anything at all. My bottom line and opinion is, Lee's warranty is a great big time waster and pretty much a joke. Based on my 20+ years of reloading, I think a person would save themselves a lot of time realizing that Lee's warranty is worth very little. I hope this text saves you a lot of wasted time and frustration.
