This scraper provides all the services necessary to keep things running with utmost efficiency and accuracy. Keeping it clean means collecting money on bets for one shot golfballs at 100 yards from Miss Stacy.

As a highly competitive NRA High Power competitor, I clean my AR's after each match. That said, this tool just does a fair job. If I were to allow excessive heavy carbon build up, it would do a good job of knocking off most of it. If your looking for a wiz bang, I'm done tool leaving your bolt and bolt carrier carbon free to the point where it almost as new, to my knowledge, that tool hasn't been invented as yet.

After having served as an armorer in the US Marines for a few years, I can say I wished we had this tool when I was in! It is an ideal tool for cleaning the bolt and bolt carrier. It works better than the Bone or other scraper tools. Well illustrated instructions. I don't know how I used to clean an AR without one.

I have fought the hard, caked on carbon deposits for a long time and have tried several tools that are supposed to make cleaning easy. Not so! This tool is by far the best I have used and got several years of carbon out so I am back to a clean bolt and carrier. I spent more than the cost of this tool on different no-so-magic solvents as well.

The title says it all. I put off purchasing one of these for years and wish I hadn't. works on all the bolt and carrier surfaces to remove even old stubborn carbon deposits. I use an ultrasonic cleaner with solvent afterwards to get everything shining like new. I couldn't do that before as the carbon was too tough to get out. Some areas still hard to reach and get everything out just with the scraper but that is what solvent is for. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars
