Best on the market

Bullet placement is everything and this one when placed in a vital area is a one shot kill. Most never make it out of sight and close to half drop flat. If a hunter makes a bad shot, don't blame the bullet like so many do. This is number one in my book.

Great bullets

I've been shooting these nosler ballistic silver tips out of a 308 Remington 700 ps for a number of years. I've taken a number of deer with these bullets out to 500 yds. The furthest I've ever had one to run was about 125 yds. That was due to a liver shot. Accurate and do exactly what I expect out of them. Great Product!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Not for magnum loads...

I've shot 6 deer with this bullet loaded over 64 grains of H414. It killed them all, all but one DRT. Four rounds completely passed through the deer, two did not. Of the two that did not, one was a 20 yard neck shot where the bullet blew up when it hit the deer's spine, the other one, a 140 yard shot, blew up when it hit the deer's shoulder joint. The neck shot almost decapitated the deer. The shoulder shot one opened up the front side of the ribcage, and the lungs and heart were hanging out. Despite that, the deer managed to hobble about 20 yards from the point of impact. In all cases, I lost a fair bit of meat due to being blood shot and mangled. I think that this slug would give good terminal performance in something a little less zippy than a magnum 30 caliber cartridge (like a 30-06 or 308), or maybe in a magnum cartridge with reduced loads. If you are using it in a full-house load in a magnum cartridge, it should do well at longer ranges where the impact velocity isn't as high--the accuracy potential certainly is there for this to do well at long ranges.

I use this bullet in my 300 RUM loaded to 3450 fpm. I've made at least 6 one shot kills from 400 to 600 yards in the last 3 years on white tail deer. None of the deer took a single step after being hit. Love this bullet!

This bullet shoots very accurately in my Tikka 30-06, with a moderate charge of IMR 4064. I have used it on approximately 6 deer, all here in Alabama so they were generally on the small side. On a significant number of them, I recovered large pieces of the jacket. Devastating exit wounds, typical of ballistic tips. I wouldn't recommend it on larger, tougher animals. I also wouldn't recommend it at higher velocities. For deer, it will kill them dead, but terminal performance would be better if it were a bonded core. They do look cool loaded with nickel cases. I get a lot of vampire comments from people who see my ammo.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
