I bought mine a few years ago when it first came out. Once it's adjusted for seating to the proper depth, you never have to worry about crushing a primer again! I can only suggest adding graduation lines to show how much I adjust it for each click, so if I use it on another caliber, I don't have to... remember the number of clicks I use to seat with another different caliber. Even without that, I consider it to be 99.9% perfect!! I prime my brass 2-3 times faster with this tool than anything I've used previously w/o and fear of crushing a primer.
i was so excited when i finally found this in stock. when i got it and started using it the excitement soon faded. first the shell holders that came with this tool are not made well. not sure if lee made these for frankford or someone else. while priming the brass is so loose in the shell holder the... brass often pops out. luckelly i have the full set of lee shell holders and they work fine in this tool. the second problem is primers keep getting stuck half way into the tool. this requires taking off the tray and shell holder and pushing the primer out. lastly this thing is huge and heavy and the lever is on the other side than the original lee. the good thing is the lee shell holders and the new style lee square and triangle primer trays work on this tool. the primer depth adjustment is a neat idea but i suppose this is what made the tool so big, it makes you wonder if lee designed this thing and gave up on it because of the flaws.i wish lee would make parts for the old round style tool or come out with a vintage tool. i have all 3 of the new style lee tools ,this thing, the lyman ,smart reloader(by far the worst),and the hornady. all of these tools have flaws and dont work as well as the early lee. i was fortunate to find a new old stock lee a couple of years back and it is my go to primer tool. i really baby it as there are no repair parts.

This thing is built like a tank. It's not lightweight like the old Lee priming tool. It's a thick, heavy duty aluminum casting. Very well finished and smooth operating. "#sweepstakes"

I have owned this tool for over a year now and love it. I had an RCBS hand priming tool previous which I also loved but wanted a tool that could be adjusted to bottom out at the end of the stroke. The FA was my choice. The only criticism I have so far is that some of the parts are cheaply finished, mainly being the priming pin sleeves and the "piston" (the black rod piece on the inside of the tool). These are very roughly finished and the tool felt "grainy" when I first started using it until I stripped the whole tool down and polished these parts up with fine sand paper and metal polish. A bit disappointing given the rest of the tool is made from smooth stainless steel. This finish on the priming pin sleeve also mean that the shell holders when not sitting concentric to the rest of the tool. An easy fix but one that FA should look at fixing in the future.

Solid! Nicely made, however, the alignment between the primer and primer pocket could be better. Overall works pretty well. #sweepstakes

Poor quality. Will not properly align case to allow priming, have to pull case out of holder a bit. Primers will go into tool using tray. Using Lee holders makes it work a little better.

I have two of these items due to one not feeding any longer. With the second unit I started getting high primers and light strikes. I switched the #19 dye from the old unit and the problem was solved. I measured the two dyes and found a significant difference.

I have two of these, one for small primers and one for large primers. Set up and ready to go.

I have had this for about 3 months and 400 +/- reloaded rounds and love it. I had no issue with the other hand primer, except for the lack of ability to seat consistently. The FA Perfect seat is great and repeatable. Wish I had it from the start.
