Midsouth now carries Fiocchi 12 Gauge 2 3/4" 1oz Breaching Round Slug 10 Rounds. The Fiocchi 12 Gauge 2 3/4" 1oz Breaching Round Slug 10 Rounds are designed with a special application in mind. These special purpose loads are still considered lethal and should be treated as live ammunition. The Frangible Demolition Breaching Slug is for use during special operations. Its primary function is to facilitate dynamic entry by quickly and effectively breaching doors and locks allowing the entry team rapid access to an area. The projectile is formed from a polymer composite encapsulating lead shot. This round is intended for us in the destruction of door locks, door hinges, padlocks and chains. Due to the nature of this round the muzzle of the shotgun must not be in direct contact with the surface of the target although a standoff device is not necessary.
